Surveillance Cameras and Hidden Cameras - Understanding System Features
1. Powerful LED’s and Infrared cameras
This is a key feature of nighttime surveillance camera systems. Powerful LED’s allows infrared cameras to obtain clear B & W images even in complete darkness by increasing the amount of invisible infrared light within an area.
One of the greatest innovations made in the era of Surveillance Camera Systems. It resolves the problem o setting up complicated cable wirings. It works through a mesh network system consisting of connectivity nodes that transmits signals to nodes placed within range. An example of this is the HomePlug technology used in LukWerksTM.
3. Housing styles
An important consideration especially is Nanny Camera Systems where covert surveillance is a critical concern. Choosing the right housing style brings about undetectable surveillance and almost impossible to be uncovered. It comes in various customized designs like speakers, smoke detectors, clocks and stuffed toys. You can also resort to your resourcefulness by creating your own designs appropriate to your housing needs.
4. Sensors
Motion Sensors
This is incorporated in some camera systems providing additional ability to the device to automatically start recording when motion is detected. Any activity sensed within the field of view automatically triggers recording and simultaneously transmits email or phone message alerts if set-up with the device.
Temperature and water sensors
Automatic recordings are taken upon detecting any changes in temperature and presence of water. You can easily monitor any problems in your home that need to be immediately addressed. It can prevent onset of fire, faulty electrical wiring leading to possible electrocution when water comes into contact with it and similar unmonitored events that likely may lead to unforeseen disaster.
5. IP-based video surveillance
Real-time digital video images are simultaneously transmitted over a local area network (LAN) then to a dedicated computer or server. Hence, it allows Internet viewing of live feed videos through standard web browsers. It made possible to record, display, and transmit digital images to anywhere in the world. It also enables you the ability to remotely adjust certain camera features like resolution and zoom.
6. Video recording technology
Video recording has evolved from the older form of video cassette recorders (VCRs) to hidden cameras and digital video recorders (DVRs). DVRs boost up the surveillance capabilities of most cameras. Easy storage of digital video files also adds up to its functionality. Some DVRs have multi-camera viewing and dual monitor display capability. DVRs maximizes the full potential of Surveillance Camera Systems.

We are particularly interested in the nanny cams! After seeing many news reports of the value of nanny cams for the safety of kids, we decided to get several for our house. What a surprise - all the things that go on when we aren’t at home. Well, that sure did stop once we found out about it!
thanx
